Luna Ece Bal (Turkish, b. 1992) is continuing her studies to obtain her Master of Fine Arts Degree at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, after completing the first year of her masters at Central Saint Martins. She also has a BA on Film at Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University.

The Ritual Protocol is what defines the core of her work. Raw materials are gathered and combined within chemical reactions on a macro/micro cosmic level. The ingredients she uses respect the delicate life that surrounds them; they are in harmony with nature and her movements. She is both intuitive and scientific in her actions. Every work is a cell of her intention, channeling the connection between individual and collective memory, being human and what goes beyond. It is also a celebration of the feminine source.

In her cauldron elements become the instruments of a meta-language that aims to heal through the synchronization of the self within the higher organ. From a cellula-planetary interpretation of the traditional paper marbling technique, to installations, clay sculptures and working with scents, her process proves to be as important as the final state.
